Bobby’s department store to stock Dorset beauty brand BAO Skincare
THE FOUNDER of a Bournemouth skincare brand says she is “delighted” that her products are stocked in the new Bobby’s department store.
Bobby & Co, located in The Square, will open on September 9, relaunched just under 50 years after being replaced by Debenhams.
The store was designed to create a space to connect the Bournemouth community with local, ethical and unique brands.
One of these local brands is BAO Skincare, founded by Beth Coldrick in 2018.
The brand offers luxurious, high-quality face and body products using only the finest natural, certified vegan and organic ingredients, and is handcrafted locally in Beth’s studio in Dorset.
Beth said, “I am so excited to be going to Bobby’s this summer.
“The store and my brand fit together perfectly with Bobby’s which focuses on sustainability, ethical sourcing and promoting local independent brands.
“BAO is a brand made with love, and I can’t wait to showcase it in this amazing new hotspot in Bournemouth. ”
The brand is now present at more than 25 retailers around the world, including retailers in Hong Kong and Greece as well as online beauty giant Feel Unique, Bobby’s will be its new home.
Beth has overcome a lot in the past few years after undergoing three life-changing surgeries for her IBD, which affected her her entire life.
She started on BAO to soothe her sensitive and sore skin, which was a side effect of the medications she had to take to treat her IBD, using only natural, organic and vegan ingredients.
Today, her products are used internationally to make other people’s skin happy and healthy, and she is a beacon of hope for those looking to start their own businesses while suffering from a chronic illness.
